Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is a popular destination for both business travelers and for those who are lucky enough to enjoy a vacation in the warm, sunny paradise by the sea that is Hawaii. Of course, travel often includes spending a bit of time at the airport, so here are some of the things you’ll need to know when you’re at Honolulu International.
You will find a large variety of dining options at Honolulu International Airport. Whether you want to grab a quick snack or sit down to a relaxing dinner, there are restaurants at HNL to fit the bill.

Free WiFi is offered throughout Honolulu International Airport. The free service is available at all gates, lounges and concourses. You will also find ShakaNet workstations located in the Central Concourse. These are perfect for travelers who do not have a laptop or tablet. There is a charge to use the workstations.
Honolulu Airport doesn’t have the huge mall-like settings of some other airports, but there are still plenty of options if you want to buy a paper or pick up some souvenirs for the folks back home. Below is a sampling of the shops you’ll find at HNL.

Public showers are not available at Honolulu International Airport, but there are a couple of spots where you can take a shower. The USO Lounge offers showers and other amenities, but it is only available to members of the military and their families. Another option is to buy a day pass to the American Airlines Admiral’s Club Lounge. A day pass costs $50 and includes perks such as free WiFi, showers and complimentary drinks and snacks.
